Women's
Ministries
What Women's Ministries is:
Once a month ladies of all ages in our church get together and socialize at one of the
members' homes, at the church fellowship hall or other venue. We also have Special Events which
are planned by women for women because we understand.
Once a year the members of the Women's Ministries clubs in Florida pack their bags,
leave the kids with their dad's, and head out for a Christian retreat weekend at beautiful
Camp Kulaqua in High Springs, FL. The seminars feature guest speakers who
present topics which are of interest to Christian women. And all retreats
are available in both Spanish and English settings.
This is a time for the women to be catered to and what a job Camp Kulaqua does of this!
The camp has chalets & cabins available with all the comforts of home.
The women are pampered by having their meals served in the beautiful cafeteria. In
addition to all this, all camp activities are available for them. Some of the
activities are: Horseback riding, swimming in the springs, canoeing, hiking, go
carts, zoo. Camp

Upcoming Special

What Every Woman Should Know
About
Coronary Heart Disease: Approximately 489,000 Americans died of coronary
heart disease in 1990, and approximately half of the deaths - were women. Heart
disease is the #1 killer of women in the U.S. One in 27 women will die of breast
cancer; however, one in two will die of heart disease. A woman's symptoms of a heart
attack are different from those of a man. Because of this, women delay seeking
treatment and, as a result, tend to die secondary to a heart attack more often than men
do. Stroke is the #3 killer of women in the U. S. For more information on
heart disease and stroke in women, and how you can reduce your risk factors, take the Women's
